About Polperro
Polperro, lies just a few miles along the coast from Looe and is considered to be the jewel of the South Coast. No Cornish village has been painted or photographed so often. Many of the buildings date from the 16th & 17th Centuries.
Polperro was heavily involved in smuggling in the 18th Century, with the majority of the village's inhabitants participating in one way or another, be it shipping, storing or transporting. There is now a Smugglers Museum by the harbour to look around and find out more.
A conservation village surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty there are many breath taking walks along the cliff paths which form part of the South West Coastal Path. To the side of Quayside Cottage you will find steps which lead up to Chapel Cliff where you access to the south west coastal path.
Polperro benefits from an excellent selection of pubs or restaurants that will cater for all tastes and all very dog friendly!
